Abbey graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a BA (Hons) Dramatic Studies in 2000. She gained her Primary PGCE from University College London in 2009.
As a freelance creative artist living locally since 2018, Abbey was thrilled to become involved with Arbroath’s very own 2020+1 celebrations.
For Arbroath 2020+1, Abbey combined her work as a teacher and freelancer to devise the puppet play ‘Agnes of Dunbar’ and the accompanying teaching and learning pack for Warddykes Primary school. After lockdown, Abbey teamed up with Mandy McIntosh and the school for a fabulous day of workshopping and filming.
Abbey enjoyed a wide array of tasks, including researching and providing copy in the festival programme about our Clattering Cavalry riders and leading the subsequent children’s treasure hunt extravaganza, not to mention carrying a giant dressed-up-herring during the Sea Washed Light promenade!
